Big Oil Owns Our Government! Think They Don’t?

Big Oil Owns Our Government! Think They Don’t?I guess I’m getting a little ticked off at Republicans who are pushing drilling for oil in Anwr and off the coast. It’s time to be honest with the American People about what is going on.

First of all, the Government has already issued thousands of permits to oil companies to drill on millions of acres; most of those permits have not been acted upon and are sitting on the shelf. If oil companies wanted more locations to drill, why don’t they drill on the land for which they have already been issued permits? Yeah, you know why. Because they like the artificially high price of oil and have no intention of increasing the supply.

Secondly, if the government really wanted to reduce our dependence on foreign oil, they could require American auto manufactures to increase fuel efficiency. 100 – 150 mile to the gallon has already been achieved. So why are we acting like 30 miles to the gallon is a big deal? You know why.

Or, we could abandon gasoline altogether. How you may ask? Hydrogen is not just a future technology; it’s a technology ready and waiting to be used. A Japanese company Genepax has films all over the internet showing their “Water Energy System” that in a nutshell permits the user to keep on driving as long as there is water for the tank. We could embrace this technology, but we are not, why?

The one silver lining of the oil crisis is that it is revealing the true colors of our representatives on both sides of the aisle. And the American people are paying attention. They know they are getting the shaft from Washington and they know that all this talk about opening Anwr is a smokescreen to take attention away from the real problem.

Washington has been bought and paid for by big oil, and the American people are flipping the bill.

That’s why Ron Paul is getting so much support. He’s telling it like it is. Our representatives have sold us out, and this BS about more drilling is a lie designed to confuse the issue and to continue our dependence on the oil companies.

This brings us to the war in Iraq. Apparently the Iraqi Parliament has agreed to the oil sharing agreement which gives the majority of Iraqi oil to the major oil companies, (Mission Accomplished), but if you think that will lower the cost of oil and gasoline; you’re just not paying attention.

Do you want to end the conflict in the Middle East? Then you have to make what they have worthless. If that can’t or won’t be done, then I’m sorry to tell you that there is going to be other wars.
