Jennifer Lopez Subpoenaed In 1999 Shooting Trial
It looks like Jennifer Lopez will be forced to tell her side of the story. According to the "New York Post," the singer-actress has been subpoenaed to testify about the 1999 club shooting that involved hip-hop mogul Sean "Diddy" Combs, her boyfriend at the time. The legal motion was served last week, and stems from a civil lawsuit filed by a victim of the shooting. Natania Reuben was struck in the face by a bullet. She's suing Diddy and rapper Jamal "Shyne" Barrow for 130-million dollars. Lopez has not yet spoken publicly about the December 1999 incident, and didn't testify at the criminal trial back in 2001. Diddy was acquitted, but Shyne was found guilty and sentenced to ten years in prison.
