Kaisers Done With Oasis Feud
The Kaiser Chiefs are no longer amused with the ongoing slagging from Oasis' Noel Gallagher, and is ready to move on from the topic. Singer Ricky Wilson told BBC's "Newsbeat" that it was quite exciting at first, as Oasis was one of their favorite bands growing up and they considered being ripped on by the band the ultimate compliment given Oasis' history ripping on other acts. But Wilson says he gets asked about it in every interview and reads things he's supposedly said that don't even sound like him, so he chooses not to be bothered with it anymore. The band initially marked up Gallagher's digs as a shrewd publicity ploy, since their albums were being released around the same time.
