Yes, Anderson Back On Good Terms
Chris Squire says Jon Anderson is without a doubt still a member of Yes. The bassist tells Billboard.com that the group decided to tour this fall with a substitute singer because Yes hasn't been able to hit the road in several years -- due to the singer's health problems. Squire calls the upcoming trek "just a way of honoring the music and giving the fans their fix." The Yes tour is scheduled to begin next month in Canada. Yes was originally slated to hit the road this summer. But in May, Anderson learned that he was suffering from acute respiratory failure, and was advised to take six months off to rest and recover. Last month Yes announced plans for a fall tour with a singer the band discovered on the Internet. Word of the trek sparked Anderson to post an angry response on his website. But it appears that they've now resolved the issue. The post has been removed, and Squire notes, quote, "at the last count I believe we have his blessings to go out and do this."
