Jimmy Wayne Very Thankful For Chart-Topper
Jimmy Wayne has logged another first in his career. The singer was the guest of honor at a number one party honoring his first chart-topping single, "Do You Believe Me Now." In offering his appreciation to all the folks who helped in the accomplishment, Wayne drew a few laughs with his attempt to cover everyone he wanted to thank. But Wayne mentioned by name members of the team whose efforts were key in getting the single to the top of the chart. "Do You Believe Me Now" is special for the performer not only because it's his first number one hit. The song is also serving as his comeback effort, as it's his first single to reach the top five since 2003. In addition, it's the first chart-topper for Wayne's label and the song's writers Dave Pahanish and Joe West, who also produced the tune. The "Do You Believe Me Now" celebration took place in Nashville last Thursday.
