Boy George Tells Amy Winehouse To Kick The Habit
Only recently becoming clean of drugs himself, Boy George is urging troubled singer Amy Winehouse to follow suit. According to "People" magazine, British pop star Boy George is extending some advice to fellow U.K. celebs who have had their own troubles with drug abuse. He tells Britain's "The Times" that Winehouse, whose substance abuse problems have been splashed about the media, should seek the wisdom to soothe her soul. He also sends his advice to singer George Michael who was arrested last month for alleged drug possession. Boy George stresses he knows where both Michael and Winehouse are, stressing he knows what it's like to be, quote, "clacking, sweaty and chaotic and to have no clarity." Boy George, who had a heroin problem in the 1980s, says he became clean last year when he kicked his cocaine habit. Despite his coming clean, the 47-year-old still faces some problems with the law. He is due back in a London court next month where he faces charges of false imprisonment.
