The Verve Make Preparations
The Verve is back and better prepared for the things that come with a successful album. The group's reunion has been one of the bigger ones of 2008, inspiring a new studio album titled "Forth." Bassist Simon Jones says the group is better built to handle success these days and says the overwhelming response of their "Urban Hymns" disc may have been their initial downfall. The bassist says no matter how much the band knew that success was going to come their way, it still left them shocked and unprepared when it did happen and ultimately led to their split. The bassist says in retrospect he feels the band was stupid for splitting up and should have just taken some time off from each other, then regrouped to work again. Jones says this time the band is more conscious of working at their own pace and plan to approach the music as it comes. The Verve's "Forth" is in stores now.
