In 1983 Quiet Riot's "Cum On Feel The Noize" broke into the Top 40. In 1996 Motley Crue drummer Tommy Lee was charged with attacking a photographer who tried to take pictures of him and Pamela Anderson outside a club in Los Angeles. In 1997 New album releases included Metallica's "Reload" and AC/DC's "Bonfire." In 2002 Silverchair was among the big winners at the 16th annual ARIA Awards in Sydney, Australia. The ARIAs are presented by the Australian Record Industry Association, and are that nation's equivalent to the Grammys. David Bowie performed at the "2002 VH1/Vogue Fashion Awards" in New York. Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler took the Rockstyle award at the event. In 2003 Kiss guitarist Bruce Kulick was shot in the leg during a scuffle among club-goers at the Rainbow Room in Los Angeles. In 2005 Club Nouveau was among the performers at the We Are Family Hurricane Katrina Benefit in Washington, DC. In 2006 Patti Smith, the Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist Flea, and Television guitarist Richard Lloyd were among the performers at the final show at the legendary New York City punk club CBGB. In 2007 Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher made the list in a UK survey of the top ten wittiest Brits.<
