Brooks, Underwood, Rascal Flatts, Eagles American Music Awards Nominees
Garth Brooks, Carrie Underwood, and Rascal Flatts are among the two-time country nominees heading into the upcoming American Music Awards. Brooks and Underwood are in the running for Favorite Male and Female Artist, while the trio is up for Favorite Band, Duo, or Group. The three all face off for Favorite Album, with Brooks' "The Ultimate Hits" meeting Underwood's "Carnival Ride" and Rascal Flatts' "Still Feels Good." Brooks' competition for Favorite Male includes Kenny Chesney and Brad Paisley, while Underwood is up against Reba McEntire and Taylor Swift for the Favorite Female honors. Brooks & Dunn and Sugarland are the other Band, Duo, or Group contenders.
The Eagles are among the top nominees for the event, earning three bids in the Pop/Rock and Adult Contemporary categories, and getting a nod for the all-genre Artist of the Year. R&B singer Alicia Keys leads the pack with five chances to win. The 36th Annual American Music Awards will be presented in a ceremony at the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles on, and air on ABC on November 23rd.
