Neil Diamond Happy His Music Is Appreciated
Neil Diamond says he's proud of the praise he's received for his most recent work. The veteran entertainer seemed to make a comeback of sorts with his 2005 effort, "12 Songs," and he logged his first-ever chart-topping album earlier this year with "Home Before Dark." Diamond tells the "Dallas Morning News" he's pleased that he, quote, "finally got the critical acceptance that's been running hot and cold through my career." But now that he's once again won over the critics, the singer-songwriter isn't necessarily expecting them to remain on his side. Regarding the acclaim, he notes, quote, "it seems like I've got it back, although the tide's gonna turn." But for now he has both the fans and the reviewers on his side, as he's receiving raves on his current tour. Diamond is on the road in support of "Home Before Dark," although he's offering up material spanning his 40-plus-year career. He's currently in Texas, and played a concert in Houston on Tuesday. Diamond will take the stage in Dallas on Thursday.
