Rod Stewart To Give Command Performance
Rod Stewart is giving Britain's Prince Charles a very expensive present. The UK's "Daily Mail" says the classic rocker has agreed to sing for the heir to the throne at his upcoming 60th birthday party, and he's not charging the royal family a dime for the performance. Stewart's fee for private shows typically runs more than one-point-seven-million-dollars. The former Faces frontman is a longtime friend of Prince Charles and his wife, Camilla, and he's an ambassador for the Prince's Trust. Stewart was also a friend of the late Princess Diana and was among the headliners at last year's fundraising concert in her honor, which was organized by Charles and Diana's sons William and Harry. Prince Charles' birthday is coming up on November 14th. His party featuring the set from Stewart will take place at his home at Highgrove, Gloucestershire the next day.
