Rockers Team Up For Les Paul Salute
ZZ Top's Billy Gibbons, The Ventures, and Elvis Presley's guitarist James Burton are among the numerous rockers on board for an upcoming tribute concert honoring guitar pioneer Les Paul. The show will serve to recognize the inventor and musician for his accomplishments, and present his life story through tributes and multimedia presentations. Other performers slated to take part in the event include former Toto guitarist Steve Lukather, Bon Jovi's Richie Sambora, and Velvet Revolver's Slash, as well as the Funk Brothers' Dennis Coffey, former Patti Smith Group guitarist Lenny Kaye, and "Black Velvet" singer Alannah Myles. The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is behind the concert salute, which is part of the Rock Hall's "American Music Masters" concert series. The show is set for the State Theater in Cleveland, Ohio on November 15th. |
