Amy Winehouse Heading Back Into Studio For Tribute Song
She's had her run-ins with drugs and rehab, but Amy Winehouse is making her way back onto the music scene. Winehouse's producer, Grammy-winner Mark Ronson says the British singer will record a cover of Lesley Gore's "You Don't Own Me" for a Quincy Jones tribute album. Ronson says he hasn't seen Winehouse for a while, but he hopes to get into the studio with her soon to record the song. While Winehouse will soon be reconnecting with Ronson, she probably won't be getting any closer to her mother-in-law. The mother of her incarcerated husband, Blake Fielder-Civil, tells "People" magazine she makes a point of never speaking to Winehouse. She says the negative media attention surrounding her daughter-in-law is probably affecting her son's release.
