"Idol" Reject Josiah Leming Goes Ahead With Album, Despite Lawsuit Threats
Despite being threatened with a lawsuit by "American Idol" last month, former "Idol" hopeful Josiah Leming still plans to release his debut album in January. Not only is the 19-year-old continuing to work with Warner Music Group's Reprise Records, he tells MTV News a preview EP of his "Angels Undercover" single is now streaming on his MySpace page. Leming raised eyebrows back in October when he announced his plan for an album with Warner Records. According to policy on the hit Fox show, all "American Idol" contestants must sign a contract stating they can only sign on with the show's chosen label, Sony-BMG. Leming was known on "Idol's" seventh season as the contestant who lived in his car and was working to raise money for his cancer-stricken mother. He was eliminated before making the final 24.
