Jason Aldean Pleased With CMA Awards
Jason Aldean says just being able to hit the stage during the CMA Awards was honor enough for him. The singer was among those in the running for New Artist of the Year, which went to Lady Antebellum. Aldean tells Nashville's "Tennessean" newspaper he appreciated the CMA recognition, especially since it landed him a performance spot during the ceremony. While he notes winning awards is nice, he explains, quote, "In the grand scheme of things, the single is what's going to help with my career over the next year." On the show he debuted his new single, "She's Country." It received a strong response, which was important to Aldean. He notes, quote, "For me, the worst thing someone can say to me is, 'Yeah, that song is OK.' That means it did absolutely nothing for you. I would rather you say, 'I hate that song' or 'I love that song.' One way or another, at least it struck a nerve somewhere." "She's Country" is the lead-off single from Aldean's upcoming album, which will be released next year. |
