Quickies
It's time again to reflect on the year that was 2008. MTV2's "Headbanger's Ball" plans to do that with their annual year-end countdown of the best metal videos. Voting is currently open, with a wide array of top metal acts needing your help to make the cut. Avenged Sevenfold, Hatebreed, Mudvayne, Shadows Fall, Slipknot, and Underoath are just a few of the acts vying to make the cut. Voting is now underway at mtv2.com The "Headbanger's Ball" year-end countdown will air on MTV2 on December 20th.
Ben Lee is opening up the studio one more time as he welcomes several musical friends to take part in his latest recording. Lee's new album, "The Rebirth Of Venus," features guest turns by Cary Brothers, The Grates' Patience Hodgson and Nic Johns, and Missy Higgins. Billboard.com reports that tracks on the disc include "What's So Bad (About Feeling Good)," "Surrender," and "Sing." The album arrives February 10th. A portion of the proceeds will be set aside for FINCA's Village Banking program, which assists the world's lowest-income female entrepreneurs. |
