Neil Diamond, Boston Pops Team Up To Celebrate Fourth Of July
Neil Diamond is celebrating this year's fourth of July in Boston. The music icon will take the stage and perform for CBS' "Boston Pops Fireworks Spectacular" special for Independence Day. Diamond is slated to sing some of his classic chart toppers alongside The Boston Pops Esplanade Orchestra under the direction of conductor Keith Lockhart. CBS' "Late Late Show" host Craig Ferguson will emcee the event that will air live from Boston on Saturday, July 4th at 10 p.m. Eastern. This marks the Scottish funnyman's third consecutive year hosting the CBS special event.
The "Boston Pops Fireworks Spectacular" has been running for 36 years. Around 500-thousand people are expected to pack Boston's Charles River Esplanade to hear Diamond perform at the fireworks display at the end of the night. |
