Miranda Lambert Finds Fan, Potential Songwriting Partner In Jamie Foxx
Miranda Lambert seems to have a fan in Jamie Foxx. She met up with the actor and singer at his GRAMMY after-party Sunday night. Upon her arrival, Foxx introduced her by rapping some lyrics from her chart-topping hit, "White Liar," and saying, quote, "Everybody, Miranda Lambert's in the house!" They spoke at the party, and Foxx let Lambert know he'd be interested in writing some songs with her. Foxx is no stranger to the country music community. He's a longtime friend of Rascal Flatts' Gary LeVox, and he performed with the trio at the Country Music Association Awards ceremony back in 2007. In 2009 Foxx participated in the Academy of Country Music Awards, and also performed at last year's star-packed Artist of the Decade concert in honor of George Strait. Lambert was among the nominees at the 52nd annual GRAMMY Awards. Her hit "Dead Flowers" was in the running for Best Female Country Vocal Performance, but the prize went to Taylor Swift's "White Horse." Lambert also participated in the ceremony, joining Keith Urban in presenting the Best New Artist award to the Zac Brown Band.
