Ringo's Hollywood Walk Of Fame Star Unveiling Set For Today
Ringo is getting his own "star" on the Hollywood Walk of Fame today. The unveiling ceremony is slated to take place tonight at 7:00 p.m. local time in front of the Capitol Records Building on Vine Street. Ringo is receiving the two-thousand-401st star on the Walk. It will be near stars for his late Beatle band mates John Lennon and George Harrison, as well as the recently unveiled star for the late Roy Orbison. The event will include a performance from members of the Los Angeles Unified School Districts' All District High School Honor Marching Band, who will offer up a special musical salute to honor the rock legend. Ringo's star unveiling follows the release of his latest CD, "Y Not," which arrived in stores last month. He'll tour behind the album this summer, launching the trek with shows in Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada on June 24th and 25th. With the addition of Ringo's star, Paul McCartney becomes the only former Beatle without a solo star on the famed walk. He is represented with the Fab Four's star.
